The organisation had a clearly articulated strategy, values, and leadership behaviours but required a mechanism to translate these consistently into day-to-day leadership practice at scale.
Business need:
To move leadership development from fragmented, role-specific training to a coherent, enterprise-wide system that embedded strategy, values, and leadership behaviours consistently across the organisation. The organisation required a scalable approach that built leadership capability at all levels, strengthened culture and safety, supported performance, and created a common leadership language accessible to all employees—not only high-potential cohorts.
What was delivered:
A fully integrated, open-enrolment Leadership Development Portfolio structured around four leadership domains: Lead Self, Lead Together, Lead Others, and Lead the Business. The portfolio comprised a suite of short, high-impact courses covering self-awareness, feedback, inclusion, collaboration, high-performance teams, communication, design thinking, leadership through change, core management practices, and storytelling. Each course was explicitly aligned to organisational strategy, values, and leadership behaviours, underpinned by 70–20–10 principles, and connected through clear progression pathways to support individual development planning and on-the-job application.
Outcomes:
The organisation established a coherent leadership “spine” with a shared language, models, and behaviours applied consistently across the value chain. Leadership development shifted from ad-hoc training to a deliberate, experience-led system that strengthened safety, performance, inclusion, and accountability. The portfolio enabled scalable access to leadership capability, supported internal mobility and succession, and created a sustainable platform for ongoing cultural and organisational transformation.
